Laziness and The Internets
[08:51] Walter: is microsd and minisd the same thing?
[08:51] Lou: no. i don't believe so
[08:51] Lou: http://www.engadget.com/2005/03/15/sd-minisd-and-microsd/
[08:51] Lou: your lack of skills with the internets is appalling.
[08:52] Walter: my god that was fast...how big of a nerd are u..LOL
[08:52] Lou: However, that just got you +13 for successful use of LazyWebs
[08:52] Lou: lmao
[08:52] Lou: i know how to Google.
[08:52] Walter: LOL
[08:52] Lou: seriously. i typed "microsd minisd" into google. without quotes. and BAM!
[08:53] Walter: i'm too lazy for that
[08:53] Lou: apparently.
[08:53] Lou: of course...
[08:54] Lou: looking for me online and typing "is microsd and minisd the same thing?" is way longer and takes more effort than, say..
[08:54] Lou: in firefox, which you probably have open... going Ctrl-T for new tab, pressing Tab to get into the Google search bar, typing "minisd microsd" > Enter, and clicking on the first result... y'know?
[08:55] Walter: LOL
[08:55] Lou: or if you're using Chrome, you could've just googled from the URL bar. which you can still do in FireFox 3.
[08:55] Lou: seriously.
[08:55] Lou: wtf, man.
[08:55] Walter: I know all this...but I'm too lazy
[08:55] Lou: your laziness excuse has lead to actually putting forth more effort than being ACTUALLY lazy.
An Experiment: Local Band Recommendations
So I'm sitting in Orgrimmar fishing (in WoW, of course), listening to the madness in Trade Chat with Pulah and BanPulah.com, and had a random thought.
I'd like for everyone who sees this post to leave a comment and suggest ONE LOCAL BAND (local to them, of course) that they like, and link them up. I'd like to hear some new music, figures this would work alright. I'll go ahead, listen to 'em all, and try to post some rather non-biased and non-judgmental reviews on this blog when I can get through the bands, and whatnot.
Read the whole thing...No on Prop 8 - Why, Google, why??
So I made the last blog post about EndeverafteR in Rock Band 2, and what do I see? Not one, but TWO Adsense ads saying Yes on Prop 8. Boooo. And Google is one of the largest backers of No On Prop 8, but these ads are popping up EVERYWHERE, even on TechCrunch.
I happen to be an opponent of closedminded assholeishness (if that's even a real word, and if not, well, it is now), and believe that people have choices, and those choices should be equally available to everyone.
Not to mention that a good friend of mine is pretty hot, and the thought of her married to another girl is equally hot. But, I digress.
So... I say this, in an attempt to game the Adsense contextual system:
No On Prop 8
Equal Rights
No On Prop 8
Equal Rights
Whoa. Anyone ever notice that "No On Prop 8" and "Equal Rights" have the same amount of letters/spaces? Interesting.
Anyways. Here's to getting Adsense to get that crap off of my blog.
Read the whole thing...This ad made me laugh...
Checking my Yahoo mail, delete some stuff, and this is the ad I see... Maybe it's just me and I'm lame, but it made me chuckle.

Falling asleep at the cube...
We've all been there... Sitting at your cube, nothing to do, the day's dead, and either the net is blocked or you've so completely exhausted your browsing for the day your brain is melting. The eyelids droop, the Mountain Dew/coffee/Rockstar/whatever is doing absolutely nothing. You're about to fall asleep at work. Again. And nothing seems capable of combating this workplace evil. What do you do??
Read the whole thing...Ever go golfing? If not, you should try!
Some time last year, my wife and I discovered this amazingly fun game called Albatross18, an online golf MMO on the free to play/pay for extras business model. It's called Pangya! in Korea, where it was developed, and is a really great anime-styled golfing game, complete with special power shots, RPG-element stat building, and more. So, we got hooked, and so did my brother-in-law.

My brother-in-law driving with a putter. Yeah, you heard that right.
Shortly thereafter, we decided that REAL golf would be HELLA FUN, and found the local driving ranges, including Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. In addition to being one of the largest and oldest courses in town, it's also the only one with a 24-hour driving range during the spring/summer/fall months. Needless to say, being the night-owls we are, we got hooked. Big time.
