Finally wrote some stuff for About

I don't like writing about myself for a few reasons. One, don't have too much to write about, other than random statements belying my geekiness. Two, with what I do have to say, I don't like sounding full of myself, or egotistical. Which I don't think that what I have to say is that great, it's just one of those things of mine. So, with that in mind, I wrote a lot of random observations in my About section. Go read if you're bored enough.

dNeero survey: The HammeRuler... You're kidding me, right?

Erm... The HammeRuler? This is a joke, right? It's got to be... Really. This is somewhat ridiculous... Eh, either way, it should have a laser on it. If it has a laser on it, then I'd buy it.

Fun read: Rock Band Saved My Marriage

Salon has a fun little article up called "Rock Band Saved My Marriage". A story written by a once-groupie-turned-frustrated-wife about the differences between her husband and herself, and how the game brought them together in a way that had lasting effects on their relationship. Very amusing!

Comments, SezWho, spam, and tips!

I've been tweaking with the comments systems here, and trying to get it as easy as possible, among other things. I hate spam (duh), and have taken steps to eliminate it: Enter Mollom, yet another brainchild from Dries Buytaert, the creator of Drupal.

Jonny 5 and Brer Rabbit (FLOBOTS) for President and VP. Hell yes.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the two MC maestros of FLOBOTS getting into the oval office... The State of the Union would be a full-blown concert. I like that thought.Read the whole thing...

Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People - Reason enough for me to buy a Wii.

I've been a huge fan of Homestar Runnersince someone first showed me the Guitar email. I then came to meet the kid who sent that email, and turns out he lived two miles from my parent's house up in the Redding, CA area. Odd. But I digress. Point is, I've been a fan of HSR for probably about seven or eight years now, and it's one of my very favorite websites.

dNeero survey: Yet more customer service

Part 4 of the Customer Service survey... Wonder if anyone actually does anything productive with these things...

dNeero survey: Presidents?

So, looks like now dNeero's got a survey with questions relating to Obama and McCain... Even though I'm pretty much a Democrat, I really do like McCain, but we'll see what happens. Maybe it's just my wife converting me to the Dark Side, but I actually am not bothered by the thought of him as our President. Who knows...

Get Paid to Google Search? Yes, Please!

I use Google on like, an hourly basis. So do a lot of people I know. Wouldn't it be sweet if I got paid for that? Well, duh. Now, you can!

Les, over at The Radical Blogger, was talking about this service that pays you for using their search, which is effectively using Google's search engine. Downside is, it's using the UK version, but, it defaults to the "Web" setting, not the "UK Only" setting, so it's no difference at all, I've noticed.

Fixed: Comments and more!

Drupal is new to me. Very new. But I like to think that I'm learning the quirks and ins and outs pretty well. Every once in a while I end up with some major issues that take me a day or two of stupid head-bashing to get fixed, but after a while it falls into place and I think to myself "Erm... wow, that was easy". Such is the case with the comments here.. What'd I do? Just keep reading.
