Finally signed up for SocialSpark

The webernet is filled with schemes to make a few bucks. Most of them end up MAYBE giving you a few bucks here and there, while the company providing the "service" makes a ton. Oh joy. So it is with great excitement that I signed up for SocialSpark. Why excitement? Well, let me explain...
First, SocialSpark is pretty. Very colorful. That's always a huge bonus. I mean, they hired good designers, so they must care, right? *snicker*
Seriously though, this is from Izea, those guys who did that PayPerPost thing. Apparently it's somewhat controversial, being of a "sponsored blog" nature. Not that it's a scam, or a bad thing, just apparently some blog-elitists got their e-panties in a bunch about "bloggers not writing their own content".
SocialSpark is Izea's next method of making a sponsored blogging system, which is half PPP, half social networking. So far, it looks really interesting. Took me a handful of days to get my blog approved (if you don't get yours approved, send a support ticket. Took a day from that.), but now their "Opportunities" are open to me, so I can start seeing what's real and what's hyperbole.
For the record, the payouts for the Opps are WAY better than dNeero, and a whole lot more variety in content. Yeah, dNeero's quick, doesn't have a minimum word count requirement, but hey, you get what you pay for--or in this case, you get paid for what you do.
Oooh, and they have a "Code of Ethics":
- 100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
- 100% Transparency
- 100% Real Opinions
- 100% Search Engine Friendly
What that means translated out to real life, I can't 100% say, as I haven't gotten too far into the experience yet. But, these are definitely some very good starting points for ensuring that everyone's happy, and things are as fair and honest as possible. Kudos to you, SocialSpark!
So basically, here's where I'm sitting at right now. I've just started playing with the program, I've been up for less than two hours, my back hurts immensely for having slept for 13 hours after not sleeping for over 48 hours (minus the cat naps here and there), and I really wanted to include screenshots. But I'll do that in a follow-up post. Either way, it looks like quite a promising program, and as I develop stronger feelings and results, you can guarantee I'll post 'em.
