Twitter now has built-in name and location search! Awesome!

Just a mere few days after I play with Twitterlocal and syndicate the appropriate feed here on Slap/Pop, Twitter themselves roll out a new features for search right from the home page of your account.
It allows for searching by either name or location. Great! So I searched up "Sacramento", and come up with 18 pages. Very cool, and much different results than Twitterlocal, although a few did show up on both. Mainly, Twitterlocal doesn't appear to aggregate people who have their updates protected, and the Twitter search does.
Overall, it's a pretty nice little feature, and will most likely get some more tweaking, sort options (hopefully), and a few other spiffy add-ons. For now, though, this is definitely the Twitter feature I've been most looking forward to, and has just moved Twitter into my personal "killer app" category.
Way to go, Twitter!
