Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People - Reason enough for me to buy a Wii.

I've been a huge fan of Homestar Runnersince someone first showed me the Guitar email. I then came to meet the kid who sent that email, and turns out he lived two miles from my parent's house up in the Redding, CA area. Odd. But I digress. Point is, I've been a fan of HSR for probably about seven or eight years now, and it's one of my very favorite websites.

When I found out that "Trogdor!" was going to be in Guitar Hero 2, that made me want the game even more. When I found out that "Because It's Midnite" was in Guitar Hero: Rocks The 80s, it made me really not care about shelling out $50 for what most people consider an "incomplete game" (I ended up loving the game for many many more songs though).

And now enters Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People (SBCGFAP), a monthly episodic DLC game for the Wii. I don't have a Wii, I'm lucky enough I have a 360. But the Wii is cheap. And once I have a job again, then I'm going to get one. Maybe I'll actually get to play games with my wife for once (as she really hates most of what I have on the PS2 and 360).

SBCGFAP will not be one of those, as she can't stand the retarded humor of HSR in the first place. Eh, oh well. I know that I will get a crapload of fun out of it, just for the new original story content alone. Even if the game sucks, I'll play it because it makes me laugh. Don't believe me? Check the trailer:

Oh, and I forgot to mention... It's being made by Telltale Games, the guys behind the new episodic Sam & Max games.

If you're not familiar with Sam & Max, then do yourself a favor and investigate. And also, it's worth getting a hold of a SCUMMVM emulator so you can play the original Sam & Max Hit The Road, one of the influential "talkie" adventure games that came out of LucasArts back in the day. Hilarity all around. And if you get that far, then get a copy of Full Throttle, another SCUMM game from LucasArts. One of the best games ever made.
